A Look Back on an Amazing Year!

12/29/16 5:39 AM

Looking back at 2016, the Beezy team really did have an amazing year. Over the past twelve months, we have seen a reinvigoration of the SharePoint brand, and a rapid pace of new innovations across SharePoint, the Office 365 platform, and within the Microsoft Office productivity suite. For Beezy, it was another award-winning year that saw many new customers, partners, and community recognition. We are excited going into the new year, as well, but thought we'd take this opportunity to recap some of the highlights of our year.

Some of our proudest moments in 2016 include the following:

ESPC16 Most Innovative Cloud Solution

In case you missed the blog post, press release, or European SharePoint Conference news, for the second year in a row, Beezy took home one of the major community awards. At the 2015 event, we won Best Office 365 Solution, and in 2016 we were recognized for Most Innovative Cloud Solution. A major factor in the award was community votes, so thank you to all who supported us in this award, which was based off of one of our customer deployments. You can read more about our customer success in the award eBook.

Productivity Leader on the Lecko Report

French consultancy Lecko (http://www.lecko.fr/) produces an annual report on the state of enterprise social networking, which provides insights into the various collaboration and communication solutions available to customers. Lecko specializes in building social platforms and intranets for some of the largest public and private entities in France and beyond. As highlighted in our blog earlier this year, Beezy was recognized as a leader within their latest report entitled: Supporting and Preparing Your Business for Change: Latest Developments in Enterprise Social Networking, which you can download.

KMWorld Trendsetting Product of 2016

Knowledge management continues to be a priority for enterprises, and SharePoint dominates the technologies used for the modern workplace, and KMWorld is a cornerstone of the community. The goal of this award is to identify software products that "break new territory in helping organizations achieve their knowledge management goals" and that are "designed, developed and perfectly timed to fill a niche in the marketplace." Announced in September, Beezy was included in this year's KMWorld Trend-Setting Products of 2016 along with some of the most recognized brands in the ecosystem. You can read more in our press release.

Launch of the New Beezy Website

As you may have noticed, we redesigned our website this fall, going live in September. For those who have never been through this process, it is no small task -- and was a team effort to design a site that is both functional and informative. There is more to come with Beezy.net in 2017 as we expand our website content and capabilities. We hope you like what we've done.

Microsoft Graph Case Study

One of our proudest moments over this past year was working with Microsoft to highlight the innovations that Beezy has been doing with the Microsoft Graph to help customers more easily and speedily surface their meaningful content. In fact, in a few different areas, Beezy has provided innovations leveraging the Graph that are not yet available in SharePoint Online, as part of Office 365. You can read more about our innovations in our press release, on Microsoft's partner evidence website (BetterWith.Office.com), or you can download a copy of the case study from Microsoft's website. Better yet, see for yourself in this great video created by our team:

Measuring Collaboration Success Initiative

One of our community efforts this year was to capture feedback on what it takes to ensure that enterprise collaboration is ultimately successful. As announced in March, we formed this initiative, as the name implies, is to capture feedback from the community and develop best practices around a shared definition of what makes collaboration successful, to understand the metrics being used to monitor and measure that success, and to identify the best practices for implementation to achieve these goals. The first phase on how companies define collaboration success concluded this summer, and you can download the results here. The second phase on how companies monitor and measure collaboration ended this fall, with downloadable results here. And the third and final phase looking at successful implementation wraps up in January -- so there's time for you to participate by completing our anonymous survey.

Idea Campaigns Launch

In July, Beezy announced the availability of the first SharePoint idea management solution that was built on SharePoint, for SharePoint, and the response from customers and the community was tremendous. In a related blog post, our Product Lead, Maximo Castagno, wrote about the power of ideas to spark innovation and change the culture of an organization toward, making innovation at the forefront. You can read more on how idea management can improve your internal collaboration efforts in a related whitepaper. And if you've not yet seen Beezy Idea Campaigns, check out our product video:

Launch of BeezyPocket

Also announced in September (which was an incredibly busy month for us!) was the announcement of the BeezyPocket private beta. BeezyPocket is an enterprise messaging application built on Microsoft’s market-leading Office 365 platform, and has been touted as the best of Slack and WhatsApp for the Office 365 crowd. While still in private beta, the BeezyPocket app for iOS is available for immediate download through the Apple App Store, and Office 365 users can request participation at http://www.beezypocket.com/

Customer Wins and Partner Announcements

And finally, 2016 saw continued growth for Beezy as measured in employees, customers, and partners. One major customer announcement was ZF Friedrichshafen, who last month selected Beezy to build their next-generation intranet. We added several partners, as well, including B&R Business Solutions and Planet Technologies in the US. As with many of our partners, it all begins with shared customers. For example, our relationship with Communardo in Germany grew from joint customers, including Daimler TSS and DEG. We have several more customer and partner announcements coming in Q1 of 2017.

This is not a complete list of everything Beezy accomplished in 2016, but outlines some of our more visible activities. As the holiday season wraps up and people make their way back to the office from some much-needed time off, you can expect to hear more from Beezy. Of course, you can always jump start the new year by learning more about Beezy. Use our online form to schedule a personalized demo, or to request more information. Until then, have a happy New Year! We'll see you in 2017!
