With the New Year comes yet another product release for Beezy 2010 and 2013. Only two months after shipping the advanced microblogging we are happy to announce some engaging new features.
Newsfeeds are rapidly evolving in consumer social networks. Employees are now used to see how links are converted into snippets that show basic information about what's being shared with them. Until now Beezy only converted video links into video players. But today you can insert all sorts of links from popular internet services and see how they render in an engaging format in the wall.
The design of the snippets have been carefully crafted in order to avoid a cluttered newsfeeds and also to show only the information that makes sense to get in a preview.
The impressive list of services that are shown with snippets include: YouTube, justin.tv, UStream, Daily Motion, Metacafe, Livestream, Vine, Hulu, Vimeo,TED, Vevo, Brightcove, Google videos, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Slideshare, Linkedin, Google maps, Compete, Wikipedia, Foursquare, Prezi, Githu, Spotify, SoundCloud, Rdio.
Gamification is proving its real impact in adoption dynamics. People want to get their work done. But if while they're doing it they can have some fun they will be even more motivated. In this new release we are including a new "trending people" box that shows Top contributors and Top Praised leader-boards on the homepage and all public communities.
As they interact with each other employees can now quickly check other users profile by just hovering on a name. A beautifully designed card is then presented with basic information about the employee, a button to follow or unfollow his activity in just one click and a link to his latest activity within Beezy.
Upon clicking on the name the standard SharePoint profile is presented as always.
These new features will make social collaboration more fluid and engaging. Clients that already updated their release are getting extremely positive feedback about it.
You can request a demo today to see these amazing features in action in both SharePoint 2010 and 2013.
