New Year's Resolutions – Technology with a Heart

1/16/20 3:58 AM

One of the most exciting aspects of working in the Technology industry is the pace of change. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and our ability to use data more effectively have the power to completely transform how businesses operate and people work.

But the breath-taking speed of change can also bring uncertainty and fear, particularly among employees who do not consider themselves to be ‘digital natives’. And those experienced employees are often the people that organizations most want to retain and engage.

Beezy is at the forefront of this technology evolution within the workplace. It’s a competitive market and I’m proud of our amazing product. However, a product is often only as good as the people that use it and the way it is used.

It’s all about the employee experience and the impact on business results

With a background in History Teaching, a career in technology for me was not the most obvious choice! However, I saw a gap in the way technology was implemented across business and this inspired me to jump into the field. I have used my keen interest in change management to observe how people use (or in some cases do not want to use) technology – and I continue to strive to apply that knowledge to implement digital products that are simple and delightful. Ensuring that people really enjoy using our product is fundamental to our success.

In many respects, this is what makes Beezy unique. Yes, our technology is market-leading – it really is the all-in-one Intelligent Digital Workplace solution for Office 365. But, importantly, it was designed to be as simple and as effective as the best consumer-grade technology. Anyone who has ever used Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter is likely to immediately find it easy, effective and even ‘fun’ to use – no training required! Content editors will recognize some of our consumer-like content management and publishing features to be very similar to Wikipedia, Medium and BBC News. And from a business perspective, it’s a uniquely powerful tool to bring together Collaboration, Communication, Knowledge, and Processes with a corresponding impact on financial results

2020 Beezy Resolutions

Although our customers often tell us how pleased they are with Beezy, this is never good enough. We strive to improve every day!

It’s that time of the year when many people are making New Year’s resolutions and I would like to share my top 4 resolutions for Beezy:

  1. It’s easy to get carried away about developing technology… but the most important thing is to design features with the user in mind. We will always focus on what matters most to our users.
  2. Our relentless pursuit of innovation, simplicity, and value-add for businesses is a never-ending journey. We will never rest!
  3. The simplicity of Beezy in organizations already results in very high adoption rates, but nevertheless, we will do even more to help our customers to ensure every employee has a great experience. This is why we have developed our own customer success practice SMILE, which will help guide your Beezy forward, ensuring even more business success, and will put a smile on your face. Expect to see more on our SMILE customer success practice in the months to come.
  4. Unlike some of the global tech giants, we are small enough to be proactive in listening and responding to customers in an agile way. Our success will be shaped around our ability to respond to our customers. Our personal touch is important to us. We will give you a voice and encourage you to share best practices between customers in upcoming customer events in Europe and North America.

Aligned to this we have plans to roll out many exciting new features including an Employee Advocacy tool. This is (of course) at the request of our customers and I will be sharing more about this in a future blog.

Don’t just take my word for it!

Highly satisfied customers are always our biggest success story and if you are considering investing in a digital workplace/intranet we recommend that you talk to the many people we have worked with so far. Please feel free to reach out to me or anyone else of the Beezy team to discuss how Beezy can become an essential tool to help your business.
